Jonathan McCullers, M.D., is an Associate Member in the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Department of Infectious Diseases. Dr. McCullers oversees a basic science laboratory that focuses on secondary bacterial infections following influenza as a means to provide targets for prevention and treatment using drugs and vaccines.

Dr. McCullers is a member of the American Society of Virology, the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society, the American Society of Microbiology and the Infectious Diseases Society of America.

Dr. McCullers has published more than 70 research articles in journals such as Cell Host & Microbe, PLoS Pathogens, Infection and Immunity, Pediatrics, The Journal of Infectious Diseases, Virology and the Journal of Virology.

Dr. McCullers is a graduate of the University of Virginia and received his M.D. degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He joined the St. Jude staff in 1996.
